Manastash rules! ;)

I go up there every year on Memorial Day, then again any chance I get until it snows. I made it up there about 6 times last year.

I've got tons of 4 wheeling pics taken in the Manastash area on my site if you are interested...

http://www.4wheelingplus.com/

Look under Four Wheeling News on the home page.

Directions to the Manastash can be found here:

http://www.4wheelingplus.com/manastash/ (http://www.4wheelingplus.com/manastash/default.asp)

Anyone interested in playing in the Manastash area is welcome to contact me for more info. I'm not a Manastash expert... I just love to play up there. :)

Yea, I also work on a ranch so Im about a full blown Yocal!!

I've talked w/ you before via e-mails about your trip up Shoestring Mem. Weekend..... I rode w/ some people up there 2 or 3 years ago... It was a group of a few jeeps, and some yotas....

Think we can get to the rocks from our side this year??
We tried from Naches last year and did not make it... too much snow.

I highly doubt it but if we have the right group of people I am willing to attempt it.

I am bringing extra high-lift jacks, tow straps, and other goodies this Memorial Day just for scenarios like this.

If you've got a capable rig and a few friends that want to try it then: GAME ON!!! :D

I plan to go up the weekend of April 24th - 25th to see how much snow is still there. I just take my pick-up and I stick to the main road. Let me know if you want to tag along.

Thanks,

If you've got a locked f&r rig on good tires the main thing stopping you from getting to the rocks Memorial wknd. would be all the damn traffic. Doesn't matter which side you try to get there from.

BTW, why go to the rocks memorial wknd anyway? There will be to much snow to do any crawling.

Everything I've been on so far this spring in the Wenatchee area and surrounding has been a big mudfest. Of course, some like lots of mud, I'm waiting for things to dry up a little bit myself. :) I'm definately looking forward to running some of the trails in Kittitas county this summer.

BTW Ben this is Matt with the silver XJ.

Hey, speaking of... Ron I believe I've met you before a really long time ago. Your dad sold/sells real estate in Cle Elum, right?

I'm planning on running up to Riders Camp on Tuesday April 27th if anyone wants to tag along.

I am updating the events forum on my site in reference to my Annual Memorial Day Manastash Run if you are interested:

I'm still planning to head up the road towards Riders Camp (Buck Meadows area) on Tuesday April 27th.

If anyone wants to join me let me know.

Current plans are to take my new Super Duty up the main road to see how far I can go before I have to get winched out. ;)

I'm going up to check out the "snow conditions"... aka: Good excuse to go wheeling. :D

Thanks,

You will make it to rider's camp no problem. Here is what it looked like about a week ago

By now the snow should be pretty much off the main road. However the side road up to the 307 trail was still pretty deep. It took some effort to get up that. Also there is a tree down across the 311 trail about 200 feet into it from the camp ground. I would head uo there with ya but I don't get out of class on tuesdays until 4.

I'm taking my Ford F350 so there is a good chance you will be using that new Mile Maker E9000 winch to pull me out. ;)

Can you make it on Tuesday the 27th or do you want to go on the weekend before or after?

Ok... big mistake!

My new Super Duty was like a tank... until it hit the ice and slid off the trail. I got stuck real bad. :(

I now have some pretty good sized dents on the driver side on my new truck. :banghead:

I had to walk for over 4 hours to get out. Around 13 miles. :(
