OK im wiring a clinometer into my 81 toyota, it isnt a toyota clinometer so there no bracket or anyhting. Which wire do I splice it to? The red with a white stripe, or the white with a black stripe? (by the way im splicing it into the air vent control light. Also wheres a good place to ground somthing like this in the dash?

well the red and white wire is probably your power wire or a hot wire and the white and black wire is probably gonna be your ground wire

Ditto to what wheelin chevy said. I think I got the same thing in my Toy and wired it to my parking light circuit. This way the light for it will come on only when I turn my lights on.:)
