Well I cannot post pics yet no digital camera and ran out of film.
I made some rocker panels this last weekend out of 3/16" plate steel along with corners and new tail lights. It looks good. I think it will be stout, still don't need nerf bars:D

I'm working on new rocker panels too. After those are done, the tub comes off the frame and gets a new floor welded in. One of those projects I should have done a long time ago.

Are you going to do rear corners? I have a way to bend the thicker steel. I will be getting a digital camera for christmas so I can take pics to show.
This last weekend I made some plexiglass half doors. The material does not shatter like regular plexiglass and this stuff is really flexible. Iwould like to put some sort of latch on them but have not decided just what to use.
I also finished swapping a 82 cj5 windshield to the 72. the only problem I have, is the exsisting wiper linkage (82) has a bind at the first wiper blade pass side is ok.
This weekend I will finish the install of the doors and install a choke/ throttle cable.

Can you explain your process? How thick of material can you bend?

I have a set of those cheezeball aluminum diamond plate corners on there right now. They've actually held up better than I ever expected them to. When they get too mangled, I'll probably build some decent steel ones.

I need camera.
I bent 3/16" for the rear corners w/ a 4" radius. It came out real nice. need camera. The rockers were done with a break, I had to have that done. They also are 3/16"
Someone told me the plexiglass is polycarbinate which some good stuff, but still scratches.
Chris are you still in the Burien area?

I took a piece of 3/16" plate steel 16" x 24". Measured 9 1/2" in. Placed a piece of 4" sch.40 pipe, centered it on the 9 1/2" mark and pressed it, the press read 6000lbs to make the corner. I tried to follow the basic alum. pattern and adjusted it to fit better.

 Thanks. Good idea. So the radius matched up good, huh?
