Ok I have a 93 YJ with a SOA and 3 inch lift springs so its about 8 or 9 inches lifted and whenever I start to climb and lose a little traction than catch it I break my rear yoke I hear its a fairly common problem with YJ's how do I fix this. I have already put the strongest yoke they make for the D35 on it but it sheared thru the bolts for the straps.

Did you get the traction bar fabbed up? Is it still doing it?

Also did you ever check to see if that guy still has the rear bumper?

Take it easy

That's a lot of lift. Are you using a CV driveshaft, and is your pinion angle set correctly?

Sounds like binding.Look for scoring on the yokes from the angles maxing out.As John said.....thats alot of lift:confused:

with that much lift yes i hope you would be running a sye i have 10 inches on my 92 yj and the sye is almost maxed out. also you can change an go to u-bolts on the yoke rather than straps but you need to fix the binding first. you can get the u-bolt style yokes from high angle sdriveline in cali. just got a long slip front drivline from him. great to deal with.

Thanks everyone I actually got the Ubolt set up and I am using a CV Driveline from driveline solutions in Arizona. I am hoping that I can get some ladder bars fabbed up and slapped onto my rig if anyone knows how to do it and lives anywhere near ellensburg or just feels like wheeling funny rocks or moon rocks and wants a place to camp out and drink some beers I am always able to accomodate them otherwise I get to take it back over to the west side and have one of my buddies do it. But thanks for everyones help.
