O.K. I got a few.
1. at the prison break I talk to a guy from snort who said they had a few carbs set up for propane. but I cant remember who... If you are out there pm me.
2. when I get my rig at a severe angle, the engine sounds like it isn't getting any oil. how do you keep your engine lubed in thoughs situations?
1) Call S&N Fab at 360-435-9040 for the propane
2) Don't run an oil pressure gauge. If you are out of oil you have to keep driving so what is the point of knowing that you are out of oil pressure. (competition only) Lots of time driving while turtled, no worries, it is just the motors problem not mine. :D

Running an extra quart of oil and bending the oil pump pickup so it's super close to the pan helps. Other ways are dry sump and anti-slosh oil pans. Does your rig run a rear sump pan? There are extra deep ones available that will give you those precious seconds worth of oil you need to make it through obstacles.

PS another place to check is NW alternative fuel for LPG. I got my own stuff from Canada. (going for OHG system when I really want Bi-Phase liquid LPG injection!)

For the LPG, check with some of the Canadians. I remember working at a service station in Bellingham, and we filled lotsa BC rigs with propane, there were lots of converted Chevy, Ford, Dodge all running LPG due to lower cost in Canada, and also for emissions I think.

The main reason for running LPG is you can go up to 17:1 compression w/o ping! (My stroker will be @11:1 when I'm finished)

Hey, get ahold of WTO BA, he's running propane on his rig. Also do a search and you'll find a coulpe of threads on it.

Running an extra qrt. of oil is ok, because there is at least one floating around in the heads and lifter valley anyways.
Dry sump is really expensive and requires many extra internal mods to the motor, not really a viable option for the most of us.
Bending the pick-up real close to the pan bottom can cause some really bad problems at higher RPM's when the motor really needs the oil, when its at a lower RPM, there is far less stress on the bearings.
Run the best Syn. oil you can get ahold of. I run Ams-Oil in everything I own and ran my 350 for 7 hours after a roll over with 3 qts of oil in it and had NO damage, I have also ran it out of water and heat seized it too, same results. Still running the same motor with perfect oil pressure.

You can always get an accumulator for your oiling if you want to save an expensive motor, I have seen them from a quart up to a couple quarts, and can be ran in groups of more then one. Be forwarned they are not cheap, but they do work.
I also would like to find a great thread on propane, have seen lots of generic reading, but not much on performance motors and the special cam grinds it takes to run one correctly. I know they are out there, some of the drag boys are even running them.:usa:

I found this propane set up for sale on another board. It may or may not help you out.
