I have OBA york compressor. I do not have an oiler on the system. The compressor just started to make noise like it is low on oil. What oil do I use in the compressor?

I'm not 100% sure about the correct oil, but I used 30W non-detergent

Use 6 to 12oz of 10W-30 and you'll be good to go. :)

I use 10w-30 in mine with a shot of power punch to help it along.

It doesn't get trapped in your air/oil separator? Or is that built in oiling for your air tools?

I use what the compressor was built to use, mineral oil...

Thanks noise is gone and imagine that, it still oils tools:redneck:
yeah what crash said. petroleum products and compressed air is what makes diesel engines run, its called heat of compression and fuel. mineral oil is what york uses.
