Lost nearly all pedal on the freeeway the other day and I think my clutch went out. Is there anyway to make sure, and if so, what do I need to do to fix it.

Hmm, you make it sound as though it's feeling normal again now? If so, you must have a hydraulic clutch?

I have some pedal now, but I haven't driven it since it went. Its on an XJ, and if it is the slave cylinder, then I 've replaced it before and could do it again.:)

Fozzy, have you checked the obvious, like fluid level? Try bleeding the system? Check the back side of the M/C for wetness? Check the lines for leaks, etc. etc?
