View Full Version : Anyone Know About Aftermarket HP D60's
Been looking at HP D60 center sections to be used in the back of an SOA CJ-7 that will see some DD Freeway driving.
Anyone have any experiance with any of the aftermarket suppliers?
Been mostly looking at Tera and RockCrusher.
Need to learn about the Pro Rock.
The RockCrusher has some nice features but has not been around long.
Mostly concerned with longevity as a DD. Any warranty issues. Any feedback I can get.
Thanks

I've got a Tera 60 rear in my DD and it has seen over 25000 miles in the last year and 8 months...
333J,
Thanks for the reply. Did you buy a complete unit or just the center section? Did you buy it locally or order it direct?

He had S&N build it for him
They can get any HP 60 or any axle for that matter you want
I'm partial to pro rock's

It has more Ground clearence than a d 44 and i've seen robin flog the shit out of his with 44's on it and not a single problem
Also most pro rock crawler guys are running them

wouldn't the cost depend on if he's looking for just the center section or the whole axle housing?
I would sway towards the pro rock or crd 60 centers. However one thing i read about the rockcrusher centers was the materials used to make em. Oz is lax as far as nasty emissions, And their natural resources lend to a better metal composition. Just a tidbit to think of. If it was me id do a crd cause they look funky.

Yeah it would be a big difference....
....but then again, 9" housings at Arrow metals are only about $20
