I know where Bend is. I have to go through it (well off to the side now since the re-routed hwy 97) to get to Seaside. I'm wondering where those trails are in relation to Seaside and Bend.

The event sounds like fun but sometimes we need to stop and think before we write. "chasing coyotes around the desert" ummm thats kind of against the law(harrasing wildlife and all that) whether you really do it or its just a medefore dosent really matter you just gave the greenies a reason to shutdown your event before it even happens. Dont forget image is everythin even when its just a percieved image.
I dont mean to be a wet blanket but as I said image is everything. BTW isnt there a work party at walker that weekend?
really... are you serious, been out there since day one ive seen a few deer never a coyote, why dont you come down here sometime and help us clean the trail and the surrounding area every damn time we are out there or even close to the area, then you can come on here and make valid comments not sensless crap, ive done everything i can for this trail, and it will soon be pulled into the ohv area thanks to us "coyote chasing idiots"

Good argument if you had understood what exactly pokey was talking about.

i understand, trust me, but he isnt making the situation any better by draggin it out and making a large post to prove his point if he had something to say to marty he should have pm'ed him and told him what he thoughtinstead of posting it and making it even easier to read, i agreewith him on the aspect that marty shouldnt have said that, but he is far from helping the situation with his post;)

Now there you might have somewhat of a point Ben. However My post was meant to be educational not picking on any one event. (yours was just the current example).I recently attended a meeting with the Yakima ORV deputy and believe me he knows about this site and what happens when and where. He cant be the only one watching and I know for a fact the washington DNR also keeps on eye on this and other sites. My post was meant to educate folks to watch what they say because words can be twisted to meet anyones agenda. I noticed that the post remains up and unedited so what good would a private e-mail have done? I suggest that we all try to work together for a common cause. Lord knows we have enough people to fight with just to keep our sport alive. Again my aim was education. I certanly thank you and yours for your efforts in maintaining and keeping trails in your area open. This benifits us all since we all tend to travel to other areas to wheel. I also commend your group for putting on a event for others to enjoy your area trails. Keep up the good work and thanks again Jim

im thinking in this case an e-mail to the poster would be a more effective means to get him to remove the offending matrial, i dont he visits here very often

A living example of what happens when your government allows all points of
view to be considered, much less considered legitimate.
Only the sheep suffer.......
Which are we?
Subject: FW: coyote problem
> >Cowboy Logic vs. Sierra Club Logic
There ain't no arguin' with this cowboy's
logic...
A few years ago, the Sierra Club and the United
States Forest Service
USFS) were presenting an alternative to Wyoming
ranchers for controlling
the coyote population.
It seemed that, after years of the ranchers
using the tried and true
methods of shooting and/or trapping the
predators, the tree-huggers had a
more humane" solution.
What they proposed was for the animals to be
captured alive, the males
castrated, then let loose again ... and the
population would be
controlled.
This was ACTUALLY proposed to the Wyoming Wool
and Sheep Grower's
association by Sierra Club and USFS.
Well, all the ranchers thought about this
amazing idea for acouple of
minutes.
Finally, an old boy from Texas stood up, kicked
his hat back and said,
Son, I don't think you understand the problem.
These coyotes ain't F@$%&*! our sheep - they're eatin' 'em."

This post is intended for all.....
I attempt to read, listen and let others provide input. I dont feel that as a mod I have to babysit each and every post, nor do i feel that anyone has the right to be outright mean, nasty or negative to anyone on this bb.
Lets think about what we write, go back re-read it and then if necessary go back and edit if it contains potentially "explosive"
material that will back fire in the face of the sport of 4 wheeling.
Now lets all get along. I would suggest in the future that if ANYONE has an issue with a post, contact me via PM or the poster directly. Thanks.
