Super swampers of BFG tires? I know i want 33x12.5, but which brand? I'm thinking BFG's work better for a daily driver weekend offroader, but I could always be wrong.

If you want a street tire get the goodyear MTR's
If you want an offroad tire try the super swamper brand
either tsl, tsl sx, or try the new IROK

My vote is for BFG's since it's a daily driver.

Between the BFGs and the Swampers, I'd vote BFG. I had a set on my old XJ and they worked great. I had a set of TSL Radials on my TJ and they worked well too, they're just louder than the BFGs (no biggee) and tend to not balance as well.

That said, I'm lovin' my MTRs. :D You might be able to find a used set in good condition for the same price (or less) than a new set of BFGs.

Just my $0.02.

I had to make that decision once. I chose 33x12.5 boggers I had a rear locker and deadly alignment. It was cool for about a month to drive around with boggers on. As soon as I could notice the wear it wasn't fun anymore. They wore down so quick I barely got a chance to wheel on them. I'd suggest the BFG's

I have yet to get a set of real Swampers and have only had BFG/MT's but they have treated me very well as a pavement pounding tire and as an off-road tire. Personally I think they're the best comprimise and are what is going on my truck when it need new tires again :redneck:

You will be happy with BFG's the is ride awesome on the street but their off road capabilitys are  With the Goodyear MTR's you will get a very very quiet road ride and they wear very well. and they own everyone offroad........J/k TSL's bias plys are the way to go offroad only

I would sway towards Mtr's just cause of all the bfg mt sidewalls ive seen split open.

I have 35" BFG Mud Terrains, the sidewalls suck. I ran my buddies MTRs for a while and they were awsome. I'm buying MTRs at the end of Nov. Oh ya, and I think they did way better in the mud than my BFGs.

Ok, here goes my first post...

I run 35x12.50's BFG Mud's and they are great on the street, they wear really good, are relatively quiet and (as the name implies) do good in the mud, but as others have said, the sidewalls suck. I ruined one sidewall a few months back at Walker Valley and I cut up a couple of them last summer on the Rubicon. I'll be switching to MTR's someday...

I've heard only good things about MTR's, especially for a DD, I have TSL radials on my DD right now, and if you can handle the noise, they do just fine, but I've only had them a few months and I already notice the ware.

on the note of the MTR's I got my 37's with 35-30 k on them now and am at prob 50% or better for tread and they are quieter than a bfg on the road

He sells 33x12.5x15 and 35x12.5x15 MT/R's dirt cheap. I got my 35's for 600 bucks shipped to my door.

my buddy just got 35 mtrs on his yota and i was so envious of him. then he went out wheelin and hit some slippery stuff and mud, and his tires would not clean themselves. he was super pissed. everyone else had swampers and had no issues. i got 35 bfg muds on my daily driver yota and they kick ass on and off road. if it was just a trail rig or you just have benjamins to blow, i'd go with tsl's.

if ya stay on the rocks= mtr's, if ya wheel in the north west =tsl's. mtr's dont clean worth a crap. ya get use to the noise of the tsl's after awhile.
