just for thought in the future, when posting information about your ride on any forum, be descrete. black out liscence plates, and don't give out too much personal info on the public part of the forum(phone numbers, address's). send pm's if theres going to be a transaction. i only bring this up because this isn't the only forum that i belong too, and i've seen the same things being reported on the other forums too. have to remember, in most cases you don't have to be a member to browse the forums. any one can look in on things and if they're crooked enough can find out where your "blood & sweat enriched vehicle" is located. i'm not paranoid, just trying not to be nieve.

you know its funny you posted this. because within 10 sec i had your email, liscence plate number a30639z, i know you like datsuns, you were born on 2/28/80, you graduated from YHS in 1998, and that you prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate. if your telling people to be cautious be cautious yourself.

damn that was good, hell i didn't even know my liscence plate number, i do like datsuns, vanilla is good, and yeah yelm high school is all in the past. thanks for slammin my face in the ground. but just goes to show how easy it is. i'm not trrying to say we're bad people on here. in most cases its not the members, they'd get caught too easy and we'd kick thier ass.

oh hey which vehicle was that plate number for?

Dude that is impressive!!! you are totally right about how easy it is! I wish I had built my truck in the back yard, never talked about it, and never drove it... wait why even bother building the damn thing? We have to do something about this theft crap, it is getting way out of hand! The cops don't care because there is more important stuff to deal with. I promise you this, the next one that trys to steal my stuff will NOT steal again.

But sorry, I was not trying to highjack your post. Btw, with 30 bucks and your name I can find out everything about you, from a simple online indepth search, FYI. :WTF:

i'd rather take all the crooks out myself also, but sometimes it doesn't work that way.

hell you don't need $30 to find things out. all you need is a partial name really but ya know.

I know what you mean, but my point was the same... be as carefull as you want, you life is mostly public record... Free for all to see, the 30 is just to have someone else dig it up in less than 12 hrs. I plan to "take care" of the next one that visits me... Well you know... I'd like to. I'm just tired of all of us getting completly screwed over. I pay taxes and alot, why the hell can't we dedicate a few dollars to finding our crap? Aleast down here, maybe you guys up north have it better, but I doubt it. I feel like theives know that there is no punishment and there is really no one looking for them, if there was maybe they would slow down a bit. I really don't know what to do, but we have to change something.....

i guess i dont really expect to see my truck again. i know the cops are too busy with more important things than to look for my rig. i've posted notes about it wherever i could and told all my wheeler friends and even wheeler strangers to keep an eye out. but the reality is that i'm the only looking for it.
bottom line....let others know you got ripped off and ask them to look out for your stuff. mostly DONT BUY STOLEN SHIT. if you suspect, dont buy it!
what else can we do?
btw should i worry about showing mylicence plate on line? can't anyone see it on the street?
