Well Gang we did it, we are over the $1300 limit I needed to begin parting this out, so bring your :saw: your :jug: your  or beverage that you need to pull some parts, but lets not get :wasted: while we do it.The prices you offered are good until you come pick up the parts. If someone wants the part more they can pay more and come grab the stuff, so that will motivate you to come over asap and get what you wanted or prepay via check or money order. I just can not have this take forever to part out as I can not have vehicles in a dismantled state due to county regulations and my landlords rules. Call me at 360-377-4979 to make arrangments to come over. I am there all day and can be there most nights as long as its prearranged. If its something pretty easy to remove(a few bolts) then i can pull it and ship it to you at your cost if its cheaper than you comeing over to Bremerton. I have tools but prefer you bring your stuff, but if you need a certain tool that you do not have I will be there to help out.
I have a cherry picker i will provide for the motor and transmission. I also have a fortklift to help load the heavy stuff.

How much for the seats and what condition?

Here are pics of the Seats. No rips, no ciggy holes, not brand new but as you can see in the pics they are in pretty nice shape. Make me an offer

This is Drivers Seat

The Fleckster
04-29-2006, 11:58 AM
Yes i have the rear seat too. Make me an offer on the whole Seat package. Rear is in good shape as well. I am trying to find out if the parts money will add up to enough, or should i just put a steering box in it and sell it complete and running. So no one has dibs on anything. Its highest bidder wins, and cash talks, bullshit walks. :D

Hey, Im interested in the transmission/transfer case combo. How many miles are on it? Does it slip out of gear, grind while going into gear, etc...??

Eric
05-02-2006, 11:36 AM
what condition are the bumpers in? does the rear have a hitch?

If they are in good condition and the rear has a hitch I will give you 50 bucks for both

If I get the bumpers I will also give you a buck for the inside fuse box cover.

The Fleckster
05-02-2006, 02:16 PM
Honestley i only know what my customer told me. It was running fine and they drove it in here to the shop. Odometer says around 200 thou.

The Fleckster
05-02-2006, 07:18 PM
The rear bumper is in perfect shape and has the reciever hitch, the front is perfect but needs two plastic end caps on the pass side. The matching nerf bars are in perfect shape as well. Perfect shape to me means no dent, and not bent. They may need a fresh coat of paint but other than that they are good.

So there is your info but come on bro up the offer to something reasonable or this whole ordeal is worthless if everyone only wants to offer $25 bucks here and $1 there, and $50 over there. We will never even get close to the amount it would take to part it out. I mean if i pull the parts i am basically making nothing as its time away from work at $65 an hour in the shop. You guys know what i am saying. I know money is tight with gas prices and all but make it at least somewhat reasonable so i dont wast your and my time with this. I mean someone called and said they would give me $75 for the running 22re fuel injected motor with wiring and all and i pull it. I said i bet you would as well as a few other hundered toyota lovers. I mean who wouldnt. So lets get real here and get you guys the parts you want and make this happen.

Eric
05-02-2006, 07:31 PM
I can pull the bumpers myself if thats what you need to hear, and I already have the nerf bars, sorry.

Read the first rule for the buy/sell section. It says post prices. With that said: I made the same mistake as you with a vehicle i parted out. I told everyone to make offers and the replys i got were, "how much you want for this?" "how much you want for that?" but none of them were offers. People, for some reason or another, need to hear prices. People also want deals. Im not surprised that folks are undercutting you. But you are kind of bringing it upon yourself. You need to set some prices so that individuals who do want some of these parts have a bench mark from which to work with. I know this is not what you wanted to hear and I'm not trying to piss you off. Just something to think about....

My K5 is still sitting in the "parting out" section.

The Fleckster
05-03-2006, 10:48 PM
Eric thats not really as important to me as getting a fair price and not getting bent over. If the parting prices starts to add up to a decent amount i will part it so possibley reconsider your offer and to the rest of you post up the amount you feel is fair(not a ridiculous lowball amount but a fair and reasonable price).

**OKAY I AM ADDING BASELINE PRICES AS A STARTING POINT. THESE ARE BASED ON A LESSOR AMOUNT THAN THE JUNK YARDS CHARGE (if ya can find a toyota in the yard..none around bremerton area) AND BASED ON WHAT THE MARKET VALUE IS AS WELL AS WHAT FELLOW TOYOTA GUYS TELL ME THE STUFF IS WORTH. we drove out to bremerton tonight $40 in fuel to pick up the 22re said to be clean good running complete motor got there he started the thing immediately it ran with a steady miss when i grabbed the throttle cable and hit full throttle it puked/coughed a few times before it revved up then i looked down and saw grey oil pissing out of the front cover and a 6" puddle in less than 2 minutes under it pulled the dip stick and also found the oil looked like chocklate milk
needless to say i felt like it was a total waste of my time especially being the truck was sitting in front of a "off road fab shop surrounded by 20 scouts" where you would think that he could have told me that the oil was full of water on the phone instead when i said something he said "its been sitting for a month thats normal"

I,m sorry for your loss in fuel to go over there and waste your time.... I was to be there monday on the motor but had issues in town, there would have been bigger issues if I had wasted a full day to go over there and pull a motor with a blown head gasket! By the way a motor does not take a shit from sitting for a month! Odie.

Don, you are full of shit on some of your details. I don’t appreciate you lying about the details or me. First off I don't play with Toyotas. I got the Truck on trade for an all pro off road Extreme rock crawler lift I did to a 85 Toy P/U. Second thing I fired it up and shut it off after it ran for a bit when I received it. I did no more as again I don’t care for Toyotas. I never checked the oil, or give the motor a complete going over. Yes cold motors need some time to warm up, and no we didn’t run it long enough to fully warm up. I stated it has 248,000 miles on it to those who asked the mileage. That’s based off the odometer. I fired it up for the guy from Tacoma on here that goes by Odie who has several Toyotas and he went over the motor and said it ran great. Hell I don’t know exactly what a Toyota 4 cyclinder sounds like, I did not even notice the exhaust leak until you found it on the pipe, that’s how well I know the sound of a Toyota motor running. I trust Toyota guys to know Toyota things.

Second thing. You never asked me to check the oil on the phone or I gladly would have. I never represented the motor as clean as that would imply no oil leaks of any kind and a completely spotless motor exterior in my book.

3rd. Lets get the sequence of events correct here so people have the truth. I fired the motor off; you were on the driver’s side. You examined the exhaust leak that was immediately apparent to you as you discerned the noise of it over the noise of a normal non-leaking motor at idle. You said it was in the pipe and that that was good. Then you reached over and pulled hoes off the breather and the motor still ran. You said that it was good as it still ran with that pulled off. Then you revved the motor and it hiccupped on stabbing the throttle. Then you pulled the dipstick, then the engine oil fill cap after asking to shut the motor off. You stated the front cover has an oil leak. Of coarse it did but your "Certified" Training did not even notice the fact that the AC and bracket had been pulled off and that 3 of the cover bolts were too long to screw back in without the bracket. You also failed to see the previous owner used gasket goop to seal up the cover and that since those 3 bolts were not tight the cover was dripping. I mean duh it’s going to leak if the bolts are not tight, anyone without certification can see that and will tell ya so. You then stated that the oil has moister in it and you thought it possibly coming from the front cover leaking. You showed the oil was grayish brown looking. I mentally agreed, as it was obvious and stated it was sitting for a month, and that the oil being grayish brown was normal if it has moisture in it. I did not completely state every word as I recognized you knew Toyota and I though to spell it all out to you would be insulting to you. So your recount of my "its been sitting for a month that’s normal" is correct but you did not recount the pause in there that I placed in there. I in no way tried to deceive you what so ever and would not do so. You recount of the oil Pissing out makes it sound like its coming out in a steady stream. I would have thought you would be better able to describe an oil drip to this board being you are "Certified" and a Toyota Tech. What dealership do you work at, if I may ask? The 6" soaked in puddle that I will furnish photos of tomorrow during the day is due to the oil drip and it slowly leaching outward from the spot of the drip. There was no puddle as you say. I want people to see that you embellished the facts here. I would have appreciated you telling the truth as I have recounted it in detail. (Yes I have a pretty good short term memory don't I?)

4th. How do you spend $40 in gas driving from Seattle?? I drive their round trip of approx 150 miles. That’s Chevy Silverado gasser should be at about 17 MPG as most are and that is about 8.8 to 9 gallons X $3.00 a gallon is $27 so stop lying about the details and if you are going to recount a story please do so accurately.

To anyone else that reads this yes the motor is used. It probley needs a tune up as anything with 248,000 miles probably does. It probably needs some adjustments, fuck I don’t know I am not a "Certified Toyota Tech" but the motor does run and idles fine. It revves up fine after 5-10 minutes of running and warming up. You can stab the throttle and it does not bog down. There is a slight pause while the computer injects more gas due to.... fuck I am not going into those details. It’s a 1986 making the motor 20 fucking years old so that’s what I have to say.
I am sorry you drove over and had high expectations that were not met, but please don't use that as a reason to embelish the details on my account.

Yea i am a bit  but i in no way want people to think the stuff you say is true when it is not. I am very careful with my representations as i have to be in my line of work. Thanks all for reading the above, now lets get back to web wheeling :)

Not trying to be a dick here but how do you know if it runs fine after 5-10 mins (it would be fully warmed up) if you never warmed it up? Might want to work on that short term memory.

The power steering is mounted on the other side under the distributer. The only guy on this board with the name odie (actually spelled Odee) is from virginia.

Yup rearend got sold locally, and the motor was supposed to be picked up, but as we heard it was not. I have supplied evidence that Don is a liar and he has not responded proving my point.
So the motor is still up for grabs, and again anyone expecting a motor with no oil on the outside and clean as a wistle, and what ever else an absolutley perfect motor is....Go buy a fricken crate motor and don't waste my time. :D

if your going to try to tell everyone on the board that im a liar you should to try to read over your posts before pressing submitand not put yourself in a corner

#1 "First off I don't play with Toyotas I got the Truck on trade for an all pro off road Extreme rock crawler lift I did to a 85 Toy P/U"

#2 i never said anything about the obnoxious exhaust leak because 1 it didnt really matter the leak was coming from the lower exhaust manifold flange where you would unbolt it anyways 2 you told us when asked before we went out there if you thought the bolts on the manifold would break loose easily you said yes you had allready cracked them loose witch i thought may have explained the leak but i now know that must have been a lie too

#3 yes i stated the front cover was leaking all that meant to me was i would have to replace the gasket i did not care that it may have been caused by the AC being removed as i was using the compressor for a handrest as i was watching the oil piss out... if there was no puddle of oil how did that oil spot appear on the ground

#4 saying "its been sitting for a month thats normal" is insinuatung that thats not a problem im sorry thats bullshit i know the fucking routine im 23 years old and have worked at a shop since i was 14 ran the shop at red top cab in seattle when i was 16 and finished tech school with toyota when i was 19
next time maby youll think before trying to bullshit a 23 year old kid

#5 try getting your facts straight before printing them i drive a 94 chev silverado 3/4 ton 4x4 5.7 with 285 75 r16 tires stuffed under a 4" lift at $3.30 a gallon for premium X 11 miles to a gallon on a good day and 148 mile round trip that adds up to $44.399998 in fuel costs sorry i was guessing at $40 ps here is a link to a post on chevy gas milage so you dont think im fucking lying

Dude you really need to get laid. Take that anger out somewhere. I do lifts at my shop and I did 1 toyota lift. That in no way makes me an expert like you. I dont play with them. I dont have intament details of their motors, chassies, etc. I dont know a whole lot about them.
I never spoke about any exhaust with you. You may have me confused with the guy that you talked with prior on a motor as we never spoke about it.

If you read my post you will see i stated that the oil was dripping out and leaching into the ground. Thats how the oil spot got there. I am not trying to hide anything here dude. Thats why i took photos of the oil spot...duh. Did your schooling teach you how to read?

Dude i dont give a shit how old you are. You could have been 90 and my answer would have been the same. It was sitting for a month and when the oil was greyish brown that is a sign of moister in the oil. If you interpet the text i was agreeing with you. As in i was on your side with that one :rolleyes:Hello Mcfly...not trying to bullshit anyone here. You must think the world is against you every day hun
Thanks for answering my gas question. All you had to say was My truck is older, has big tires and gets way less than 17, plus gas is more expensive in Seattle.

I really dont need all your cussing and the PS go fu*k yourself as its really hurting my feelings  :D

Please just go away and get some chicks and go wheeling...have fun. At your age you should be listing to Tom Lykis on 99.9 KISW at 10pm and having fun. Dont feel the world is against you. And for some advice the world is not out to get you dude. Most people are pretty nice when it come to it, and most problems are simple misunderstandings. High expectations have led me to be upset when i was younger so i adopted a though of its a junker when going to look at something and was always happier when i got there and it was in better shape than i had thought. Try it sometime and it will most likley make your life a whole lot easier. Peace out
