well, i am about to move and i have to sell my toy...i guess i'll get another one later...or maybe find something a little more streetable. it is a 1996 Ford F350 (was an F250) XL Super Cab shortbox. has a 7.3 Powerstroke diesel with mods (dynos at 308 RWHP and 620 RWTQ), has a 5-speed manual (newer with new South Bend Con-O-FE clutch that cost me $800). i will post everything i know about it and what i'm looking for...to see more pics look here www.cardomain.com/id/rattlinford. all the mods are on that page so i won't repost them here...just what it needs.

Bads...
needs rear pinion bearing and rear hub seal (have them both, have whole rearend setup kit)
needs front, left spindle, wheel bearings and locking hubs (have all but wheel bearings (i'll buy wheel bearings)
needs front u-joint (have it)
needs tires soon (37" Super Swampers have about 25% tread left, left front bead has some dirt in it so it leaks pretty quick, needs to be dismounted and replaced)
needs core support re-welded (common problem on these trucks, cracked at hood latch, simple repair)
doesn't have low range (t-case got hole in it when front d-line let go, had it repaired, patch was welded too close together so the shift fork can't move all the way up for low range...easy for a welder to fix, but with 620 RWTQ on tap-dyno proven-you really don't need low range)
has a cracked windshield
title was lost (i have release of interest paperwork, just have to write a new bill of sale and the title can be swapped easily)

goods:
besides what is on that link for mods, i have the following to barter with
2001 Super Duty Intercooler (with the correct piping you could make this puppy intercooled and have a good bit more power and lower exhaust temps
ARB air lockers front and rear with compressor and air-up kit (if the deal is right, i am willing to include these...they are still in boxes...cost me over $2100)
speakers/stereo in truck (i can remove or include these depending on deal...along with what is shown on the car domain page, there is an Infinity BassLink sub/amp combo...sounds pretty good)
Reunel winch bumper can't really see it on my car domain page, but there is a Reunel winch bumper on the truck. it is dark green and needs to be painted/powdercoated...

i am looking for the following...but open to many things

73-present Chevy/GMC trucks/K5's/Suburbans...will consider 2wd or 4wd, 1/2 ton-1-ton depending on condition...

89-02 Dodge Ram 2500-3500 with Cummins...REALLY want a '94-'02 but will consider any

Some Ford trucks, although i'm wanting a change honestly

'82-'02 Camaros or Firebirds...

'87-'93 Mustang GTs...

will consider pretty much anything nice...but those are a few i'm looking for

you can reply to this ad or email me at fck_stik2002@yahoo.com

i leave for Ft. Hood, Texas in about 2 weeks and need this gone ASAP!

thanks
Josh

What do you gotta have for it? I'm talking CASH if the price is right.

if the cash was right, i guess i could take $7000 for the truck and $8,500 for the air lockers to be included...

i started working on it today. should be finished tomorrow...here is what i have done and AM doing...

2 new batteries installed today...

repairing rear pinion bearing and resetting gears...

installing front left spindle/wheel bearings and locking hubs...

installing front u-joint...

truck will still need everything else i posted above...i also forgot to mention, the last time the front driveline came out, it took out a $10 piece on the t-case shifter. i would already have this but the Ford dealer has to order it. it is a little connecting piece to connect the t-case shifter to the t-case...also, i notice tonight the starter seems to be dragging just a little bit, but i think it will straighten itself out when it is used more...it was better somewhat by the end of the night tonight...also, the windshield is cracked...that's all i can think of that's messed up on it...besides needing a good bath...

truck is running and driving now...not much left wrong with it...if i don't get anything by Thursday i guess i'll be hanging onto it and slapping a Cummins, 6-speed manual and a stronger t-case in it after i return from Iraq in a year or so...it's running and driving good now, so if anyone wants it, make an OFFER...

BTW, no, i didn't pound on it that hard...i have pounded on 1/2 tons harder...

Maybe if you had the title it would be a little easier to sell........

ChevyDuty
03-14-2006, 11:05 AM
well, i know that...but with only 2 days left until i go to Texas for good, that's not really an option...and besides...DMV says this paperwork will be sufficient to get a new title in someone else's name...
