I found this cool little simple instruction site on how to put a fuel pump kill switch in your jeep. Check it out.

It would be better to use a covered toggle switch, seems like somebody could accidently turn the pump off where he put it.
I had a "kill switch" in my glove box once upon a time., did the same thing.

I used to have a kill switch in my civic that I hardly ever used (guess I didn't think it would get stolen while I spent 10 minutes in the grocery store). One time I did use it since I knew I would be parking it for at least an hour in an area I wasn't too comfortable about, I forgot about it when I came back to leave and was freaking out because the car wouldn't start.
Anyway, the key is... if you do this, find a GOOD place to hide it that isn't obvious or unreasonable to get to (if it is, you won't use it). Hide all the extra wires you run really well (run them inside the factory wire looming, etc, etc) so they can't be found, and USE IT religiously.

Yeah, where this guy posted his switch really wasnt the brightest spot, if I were his friend sitting in the back seat I would pull a little prank on him by switching it off.
I personaly wouldnt put it there either, I do like the 15 switch idea, but you must be one 4byin nut to have 15 switches lol.
A friend of mine put his switch on his headlight switch, but he always had to have his lights on for the jeep to run.

Another great trick is the steering column lock that covers the whole mechanism. They pretty much have to change the steering column to go away with it! (or get a tow truck)
anthor cheap trick is just take a big paddle lock and lock the brake peadle and clutch peadle together

LMAO yeah that would work, it would be a joke on them if they didnt notice the lock until they got it started.
Someone had attempted to steal my buddys Ford Bronco when the joke was on them when there was no engine. lmao.
Either way, a fuel pump kill switch would be easier and quicker to use then installing a lock everytime.

You can do it a couple ways...
The 15 switch idea.... but make it a combination of two or more switches to make it work. Like an electrical combo lock.
Rig a kill switch to your headlight switch, unless the headlights are on the rig won't start. Install a not so easy to get to defeat switch for when you are off-roading.
Then the switch is in an easy to use place, right out in the open..... and few would ever figure it out while they are trying to quickly steal your vehicle.
Lacking a switch... I sometimes pull the coil wire and put it in my pocket if I'm concerned at all about leaving my rig. I figure... who would be carrying a coil wire with them

I have had many friends' toyotas stolen, so in my DD toyota, I just swap spark plug wires when I park it in the driveway.... Kind of nice, because if someone tries to steal it, it won't run, but backfires like crazy. Of course, I plan to just put a kill switch to the coil, but in the meantime, this works well.
