Ok, this time it's for real. I had to work some stuff out and now I think I'm ready to sell or trade my '85 truck. Here's the info:

'85 Xtracab truck, factory EFI, factory sunroof, factory rear slider, power windows, gray interior with buckets and center console, 5-speed, dark gray in color (almost black).

I bought it last summer and replaced the motor in it with a newer one from an '87 runner with less miles. I have no idea how many miles are actually on the motor, but it runs perfect and just looking at the insides of it leads me to believe it's got fairly low miles or has been rebuilt at some point. Truck has a Downey header, custom exhaust, new timing chain and guides as of this last summer (didn't need it but I had it apart and did it anyway), new radiator, and I just finished changing all the fluids (diffs, transmission, t-case, oil, PS fluid, etc). I also recently put a heater core in it, so the heater works very good, gets very hot inside on full blast.

The interior is in pretty good shape for the year, everything's there and everything works, except for the black piece covering the wires under the steering column (top piece is there though). Power windows both work perfect, and the sunroof doesn't leak at ALL. The rear slider is a little stiff and funky, probably needs to be lubed or fussed with.. but it works. Truck has an A/C button in the dash, but does not have A/C (use it for something else cool maybe?).

The body is so-so, the bed has some rust on the back end like most of this era, and there are some holes where it has rusted through in the floor of the bed near the back, but the cab is completely rust free. Truck has dents here and there, but the paint is new as of last summer... it's not perfect, but it looks good from 5ft.

This is my daily driver right now, it's very reliable and the suspension and steering are tight, no clunks or bad bearings, I drive it on the highway and around town all the time, wouldn't hesitate to hop in it and drive it across the state.

I'm looking for $3500 as it sits, or I can include a bunch of parts that I was going to install on it as well for $3800 (I can do the install too). Extra parts would include a V6 master and booster combo, wide IFS rear axle, V6 IFS front calipers, landcruiser rotors, and some other misc. bits and pieces I have sitting around. I am open to trades, specifically for an 89-95 toyota truck for a DD, can be V6 or 4 cylinder, but I want a truck not a 4runner. Also open to other trades possibly, just let me know what you have, I'm looking for newer light trucks, maybe cars... dunno.

My number is 509-293-0644, my name is Matt. Call me if seriously interested, we can work something out. I can also arrange for delivery within reasonable distance if you pay the gas. I'm located in Leavenworth, WA

Also, the transmission makes noise in 3rd and 5th gears.. kind of a whirring/grinding noise. So far it hasn't gotten worse since I've owned it, but I have a spare W56/topshift transmission and transfer case combo I will throw in for an extra 100 bucks... use the transmission to replace this one, and use the t-case for dual cases later down the road. SWEET! Man, I sure wrote a novel here... but I don't like surprises when buying a rig, I figure you don't either!

Here's a pic, it no longer has the TSL's on it, has Chrome stock wheels with 31's. I will get more pictures of the engine bay and interior tomorrow when it's light. Truck box doesn't come with it, unless you're trading me a rig with one already installed:

Still working on more pics, didn't have time to clean it out and take some today, tomorrow first thing.

Did I mention I would trade for a YJ in good shape (would consider any motor, as long as it's mechanically sound), or a newer (89-95) Toyota truck, v6 or 4 cylinder, even a fixer-upper. Just looking to end up with a good daily driver or maybe another project out of the deal, I don't need this nice '85, I'm just driving it... why not let it go to someone who is going to build and wheel it.

More pictures, and stuff I forgot. This is an SR5 Model. Truck has fully functional cruise control, fully functional delay wipers, bilstein shocks in the rear, extended rear shackles to level it out (actually added a little rake), the motor does NOT leak or consume/burn ANY oil whatsoever... I keep a quart in the back between changes, and have never had to use it. Plus, check out the pimpin' camo package tray in the back (toolbag and cd's not included!). I even have the original owners manual for it as pictured.

Also, the tires that are on it in these pictures aren't the ones that come with it, the wheels are but they will have some 31" all-terrains mounted up instead of the 30" tires on it now. You can see some of the rust on the bed in the pic, I also have another unrusted bed that I will give to the person who buys the truck. CD player doesn't come with the truck, unless you're trading me something with a CD player already in it. I'll put a stock tape deck back in for shits and giggles if you want, or I can leave it open for you to add your cd player.

Got offers on the table to trade straight across for a '91 toyota truck, an '89 toyota truck or a '92 jeep cherokee, REALLY looking for a wrangler though.... stock, body can be so-so, just want something that's complete and sound in drivetrain.

Also have more parts that aren't on the truck to sweeten the deal like I posted above. IFS box ready to go for crossover steering, V6 booster and V6 front calipers, IFS wide rear housing/shafts/brakes, tons of spare parts including a spare PS pump, spare alternator, 2 spare engine blocks (1 w/pistons and crank), spare unrusted bed, spare W56 transmission and t-case combo (great start for dual cases), plus lots more spare stuff.

Might also consider a clean '91 or newer Cherokee with auto in trade? Just a thought, show me what you've got.

Is Erik the guy with the red wrangler that was interested in trading a while back? If he is, I'm definitely interested if he still is... what's his username on here again? Would probably do it in a heartbeat now. I hesitated then because I thought I might build this truck a bit and wheel it, but decided against it.

Matt is it black now or grey?

It's dark gray... those pics were taken just yesterday after a quick wash.

Paul: let me see more pics... what are the specs on the drop and what motor does it have in it? I'm interested, I like hondas. :D

Eric is 93yota on here

its a 92 4 door civic. primer black has a minor dent in the back driver side door and front pass fender. the motor is a D16 SOHC VTEC. runs good has intake, header (not sure what kind. its 4-2-1 style) that goes to 2.5" exhaust. it had extremely loud exhaust (straight pipe to a APEXI muffler) but i took the cat off my truck to quite it down so i would cause attention. it drags on turtles on the highway :redneck: but i also have the car fully lowered. motor when its cold polsates for alittle. was told it can be a sensor of some sort. has coilovers at all 4 corners. 16" rims with new tires up front, rear needs some new ones. leather interior with some rips on driver seat and back one. GSR leathers i believe.short throw shifter (very tight shifts). when i bought it i guess the owner replaced the original motor with this VTEC one and it was rebuilt. have every receipt for it from 92. the thing is im waiting on the title from the original owner and hes not responding so i sent out a certified letter and i should have the title within 2 weeks

Not sure, send me more pics and we'll talk.

BTW, Sean was kind of transferring messages back and forth between Erik and I, and I got that info... I'm still interested even if it needs wiring help or hell, even if it needs a new motor, I've got one of those too, and I'm not worried about the axle gearing not matching or anything wierd like that since I'd be putting my wagoneer axles under it. I'd like to talk to Erik about it since he seemed pretty interested before, but he doesn't wanna call me or answer my calls or PM's, so I give up I guess.

Hmm... interior and the engine bay, and maybe a few pics from various sides. Also, what kind of coilovers are on it? Are they full threaded body shocks, or threaded sleeves over the stock shocks?

Just let Erik know that I am really interested, even if it has stuff wrong with it... I just have a couple questions for him and maybe we can work something out.

Paulie

I just talked to Erik, and we arranged a time to meet up on Saturday when I'm over that way, I'm going to look at the rig and then if things go well hopefully you guys can come over on Sunday with it or if not then, we'll figure something out.
