Best I've been able to learn about the cost of the LOJack is an MSRP of $695. I don't doubt it is worth the cost if your vehicle is stolen and recovered though.
I had the good fortune of hearing a LOJack recovery over my scanner a few nights ago. It was about 4 minutes ofter the signal was detected by a patrol officer until the driver/suspect was in custody.
That was out here in SE King County on the Kent-Kangley the guys did a great job, nice, fast and clean.

yes it's spendy... but it works... if you notice your rig is gone / stolen
so you can call it in... otherwise... nothing... until you do report it!
but there are many other things as well to do to avoid getting a rig ripped!
i park my truck in the garage... and run full coverage on my new 04 ford.
which is a everday rig / replaceable as it is... fully covered.
however, my toy - the rig i love... work on... play in... etc
is un replaceable in my book... blood sweat tears $$$ everything is in it!
it stays in the garage when at home...
when it leaves my garage... it is fragile...
so add it up,
LOJACK
STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL
BRAKE LOCK
STARTER / FUEL PUMP DISABLER
COIL WIRE REMOVED / WHEN PARKED
TRANSFERCASE OUTTA GEAR
PAGER ALARM
DECALS THAT STATE ALARM
VIN#S WROTE ON EVERY PART POSSIBLE
that is about all i can do to SLOW DOWN a would-be theft of my rig!
I hate people who steal... get a job!
but if it does get stolen... it will take them a few to get it running... the most i stand to lose... is it being rolled away or flatbedded outta sight. & stripped!
while i report it... & the lojack system kicks in... it's worth the cost. & your insurance company will give you a reduced bill for having it installed too!
