There was a lot more motorcycle enthusiasts than 4wd but at least for now we are working together. A lot of it focused on the new bills that were mentioned in the first post.Well here was the agenda and kinda how it went.
Meeting Agenda Items:
1. Pre Planning for Rally in March
This was discussed some but not much accomplished other than to decide what our focus would be and let some know what a rally would be for.
2. Start “Communication Focal” information
this was just trying to get a core group of poeple to step up and be the distributor of info when it comes down the pipe. someone for the mc groups stepped up and we are tryin to figure out who does it for the pnw4wda but it was baxically said that when you get impoirtant info try and send it to as many people that care as possible
3. Collect information to present in Oly on bills (Public Testimony)
this kind of info will get better with time but time is important now because the legisture goes into session in march. the main thing that came from this is that we need to get poeple to go down and voice opinions on bills.
bill no 5089 is the noise reduction bill that states that any noise from your property must be less than 96 db or be atleast 600feet away from your property lines(5 acres is 600'x600')It is up for public discussion on friday at 1:30 pm in the O'brien bldg. confrence room "D". I f you plan to go, call this # to be sure that it is still on schedule 1-800-562-6000
4. Start drafting bill for Oly on required study of ORV’s
Discussed but not started because we don't want the government doing this study and fudging the numbers.
the NOVA funds were discussed alot because of some senator named last named Fraser is trying to pass a change in the nova funds documents to be able to payoff lawsuits against the gov.
We are trying to figure out how to stop her
there is a couple form letters being written up and taken to some events so that people can put their name address and phone # on to get mailed to that Fraser lady. I will also put up a copy of the letter here so you all can put your info on it and email it to her.
There will be another meeting on Wed feb 23rd at the Wagon Wheel in parkland at 6:30.
